HIKING IN SUMMER
1.11. – 31.5. is the seasonal closure of selected hiking trails. In general, all higher sidewalks, saddles and shields are closed. At this time, nature and animals enjoy their winter rest.
During the summer, you can save time and energy by shortening your hike with a cable car trip. Then you can fully explore the highest and most beautiful views of the High Tatras.
Predné Solisko (2314 m)
Take the cable car from Štrbské Pleso to Solisko, where you can enjoy perfect panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. An ideal easy route for a family with children.

Skalnaté Pleso via Tatranská magistrala (1755 m)
Take the cable car from Starý Smokovec to Hrebienok and follow the red trail. After 2 hours you will reach a wonderful mountain lake. From Skalnaté pleso, you can safely take the cable car to Tatranská Lomnica. You can also get down on a cart or scooter.

Take the cable car to Hrebienok – the main hub of tourist routes. Follow red trail and change to the blue one at crossroads. No chains or iron steps on the entire ascent route from Hrebienok.

Take the cable car from the Tatranská Lomnica to Skalnaté pleso. Join the blue route through Skalnatá dolina. Via Malá Svišťovka you can reach Folvarská poľana. Follow the blue route north to Veľké Biele pleso.
